The Society welcomes MSW students, recent MSW graduates
who are interested in clinical social work and clinical
social workers from all settings to join the Society.
As a member of the Society you can:
- build professional networks with colleagues
- join a mentoring group where you can network and discuss
topics pertinent to your development as a clinical social
worker and can receive guidance, support,nurturance and
advice to further your professional development as a
clinical social worker (for MSW students and recent MSW
graduates)
- join a peer consultation group where you can come together
with other experienced clinical social workers in a supportive,
sharing and collaborative environment to network, discuss
clinical practice issues and to obtain consultation from
your peers (for experienced clinical social workers)
- help the Society promote professional expertise and
excellence in clinical social work
- improve your clinical social work knowledge and skills
by participating in our continuing education programs
and by joining practice committees in various areas of
clinical social work practice
- help your colleagues benefit from your area of clinical
expertise by providing continuing education presentations
- obtain expert assistance in dealing with ethical and
clinical practice issues from our Committee on Ethics
and Professional Standards
- obtain information and consultation with regard to vendorship issues
- learn about various areas of practice by participating
in one or more practice committees
- participate in a Society committee with other members
- strengthen your professional identity as a clinical social worker
- help the Society advocate for clinical social work
