         A beautifully written and very powerful book; a classic in the field  on  psychological trauma and the process of healing.

 2. Jozefowski, Joanne T., The Phoenix Connection: Rising From The Ashes of Grief. Jason Aronson. 1999.

         An inspirational book about recovering from grief and loss for both grievers and therapists doing bereavement therapy.

 3. Klein, Robert H., and Schermer, Victor L., Group Psychotherapy for Psychological Trauma. The Guilford Press. 2000.

         An excellent source on group therapy with children, adult victims, and     communities affected by psychological trauma, including disasters and political   torture, etc.

 4. Kushner, Harold S., When BAD Things Happen to GOOD People. Schocken Books. 1981.

         A book written by a rabbi that has brought comfort and inspiration to many people affected by life's injustices.

 5. Parad, Howard J., Crisis Intervention.

         A book widely used in the social work field.

 6. Vander Kolk, Bessel A., Psychological Trauma.

         One of the most respected writers in the field of trauma work. This, one of  several of his books, focuses on therapeutic issues related to adults, parents and children, and those suffering from PTSD.
